Dj Novastar aka Erik Ramirez (Born On Augest 8th 1982) First Fell In Love With Music In The Era Of Yo! MTV Raps & Junior Mafia. He Was Always A Simple & Very Solo Type Of Individual. Everyday After School He Would Listen To His Boom Box For Several Hours At A Time, Hearing Jamn 94.5 FM (Boston,Ma) & Cd Was A Consistant Event In His Life Right After School.
Nova Grow Up Listening To (Master P,TRU,Cash Money Millionaires,E- 40,Notorious B.i.G, Eric B & Rakim & Run DMC) Just To Name A Few Artist Out Of The Many On The List. He Got His First Shot At The Nightclubs After Listening To A New Genre In Dominican Republic While Going To College Back In 2003. The New Music Genre Was Called "Mambo", Nova Wanted To Be Part Of The Rising Popularity Of This New Flava,So He Started Watching Youtube Videos Of Different Types Of Famous Djs Like (Dj Tony Touch,Dj Premire (Gangstar),Dj Doc Dre (Yo! MTV Raps),Kid Capri) Trying To Pick-Up Tips On How To Mix.
Nova Came Back To United States On 2005, & While Going Alot To Music Stores He Bought A Mixtape Of (Dj Arsen From New York). On The Mixtape He Heard A New Way Of Mixing To His Ears Which Is Called Blending. He Then Wanted To Someway Mimic What He Heard On The Mixtape. At That Time He Met Danny Roman Which Was A Maneger In A Latin Nightclub Called Mojitos In Boston,Ma.
Danny Roman Then After 2 Months Gave Dj Novastar His First Chance At Djing At A Major Nightclub In The City,Opening Up For Dj Baby Boricua. After That Dj Novastar Started Getting Lots Of Gigs In (Lawrence,Methuen,New Hampshire,Lowell,Haverhill & Boston,Ma). Other People Who Helped Dj Novastar By Either Showing Him How To Mix Of Given Him Opportunies Include: Dj Wepa,Dj Baby Boricua,Dj Alex,Dj Erkel,Dj Lus, DJ Fusion & The List Goes On.
